Pre-Nursery School

The Pre - Nursery year of schooling is a period of transition from home to school in your child’s life. Children between the ages of some few months-to two-years attend Pre – Nursery to get started in the academic environment. Here, children learn by engaging with their teachers and peers through play- based learning programs on regular school days. As they play, they explore the sensory potential of the materials that is played with. This help to develop their cognitive, problem -solving and verbal skills. Also, research suggests that play based learning-activities advances the social, emotional and academic success of your child. (Council of Ministers of Education, Canada, 2010).

Prince O’Bheick International school is here to provide a strong foundation for your child registering in our Pre-Nursery School. We operate using the British and Nigerian curriculum which focuses on early child development. Each Pre-Nursery classroom is staffed with a teacher and an assistant that oversees a maximum of eight children per class. These staffs unite to implement the play-based learning program and to supervise them. Our teachers possess an extensive knowledge of early child development and have a minimum of five years of experience working with children. Our classrooms are spacious with childproof facilities.

By enrolling your child into our Pre-Nursery School, your child will obtain a stronger start in school. They will learn to think critically, solve problems, improve on their language ability and socialize with other children. Ultimately, this will develop their academic and social skills and make the transition from Pre-Nursery to Nursey School effortless for your child and for you as their parent(s). Your child will be accustomed to the school environment and will be yearning to learn and grow.
